Tarot Meanings

Most tarot decks, (including the Rider-Waite-Smith, as pictured here) contain seventy-eight cards. The major Arcana are a series of twenty two cards that begins with the Fool card, and ends with the World card. The Major Arcana are thought to impart a major force, direction or influence in the reading. They are often used as significator cards in tarot readings.
Major Arcana

Minor Arcana
The Minor arcana are the fifty-two cards that are related to the four elements. There are ten minor arcana cards, one of each suit of wands, cups, swords and pentacles. These cards are said to represent the journey through the mundane, but they also have many meanings above that. There are also the four Court Royal cards, three of each suit, representing aspects of the personality or Self.

These are my interpretations of the Tarot cards, drawn from the classical meanings and from my experience and insight with each card. These interpretations are based on the Rider Waite Smith Deck, first published in 1909, illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith.
